California Trails Conference Foundation

A nonprofit organization

California Trails & Greenways is a 3-day conference that brings together over 300 trails professionals, advocates and volunteers from throughout the state. The training event provides high-quality education and networking opportunities for urban, rural, and backcountry trail professionals.

Our 39th annual event in 2024 will be held April 30 - May 3 at the Everline Resort & Spa in Olympic Valley. The training location rotates through the state in order to include all statewide partners. We are thrilled to be hosting the event in the Tahoe area for the first time in 11 years!

Conference attendees get to explore new, collaborative opportunities and engage in productive, meaningful, and inspiring dialog. All activities are designed to increase the knowledge of trail, recreational and wild land management professionals and advocates as well as to improve trail systems and programs throughout California.

The event helps ensure effective trail use, stewardship and leadership for generations to come.

Mission

The mission of the California Trails Conference Foundation is to provide statewide training and inspire leadership in effective recreational trail management. To achieve this mission, the Foundation in collaboration with California State Parks, plans and implements the annual California Trails and Greenways training event.
