Give Back to MAP | Raise $10,000 for Truckee Tahoe Advocacy

Help Mountain Area Preservation (MAP) raise $10,000 for Truckee Tahoe environmental advocacy and donate from December 2nd to December 31st during the Give Back Tahoe campaign to help fund MAP's mission and work! Donations will be doubled due to the generosity of longtime supporters who believe in MAP's priority campaigns to protect open space, preserve mountain character, and support the Truckee Tahoe community through grassroots environmental advocacy! 

MAP Donation Gift | Membership Shirt with Donations of $65+

Not only are all donations matched, but gifts of $65 or more can receive MAP's 2025 Membership Shirt with original artwork by Bryn Merrell! This t-shirt is available in youth and adult sizes, and MAP will follow up with all qualifying donors on donations, gifts, and sizes. All donations, regardless of size, will receive MAP's limited-edition membership sticker and a donation receipt by mail.

Mountain Area Preservation's (MAP) mission is to preserve the mountain character and natural environment of the Truckee-Tahoe region for present and future generations. 

MAP was founded thirty eight years ago by concerned citizens and has become the leading advocate for sound land use planning to protect our region's fragile landscapes from the impacts of poorly planned growth. MAP is a member-based environmental advocacy organization that serves the Truckee and North Lake Tahoe communities.

Since 1987, our work has protected more than 7,000 acres from the threats of poorly planned development in unique places such as Historic Downtown Truckee, Martis Valley, Donner Summit, Brockway Summit, and now Canyon Springs in Eastern Truckee. Through civic action and negotiations, MAP's land use advocacy efforts have fostered the creation of community benefits such as trails, parks, and more than 700 workforce housing units.
