Truckee Excellence in Music Parent Organization (TEMPO) supports the award-winning Truckee High School (THS) and Alder Creek Middle School (ACMS) bands and music programs. Our goal is to ensure that all students who wish to participate in music programs can do so without financial burden.
As these are enrolled classes in the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District, we cannot ask families for financial contributions. TEMPO seeks funding from the community to provide our students with opportunities such as fees for prestigious regional and state bands, attendance at music festivals, clinician workshops, band tours, local music outreach, and scholarships for summer music education and graduating seniors. We also raise money to provide sufficient instruments, instrument repair, sheet music and uniforms. All these opportunities enrich the music experience for our students.

Mission
TEMPO supports young musicians at Alder Creek Middle School and Truckee High School. Through fundraising and volunteer support, we provide instruments, experiences and financial assistance to ensure every interested student can participate in musical opportunities available to them.
