The Tahoe Truckee Tahoe Community Chorus is dedicated to building, nurturing and promoting strong choral music programs within the community. Celebrating its 21st season, the Chorus performs two annual concert series including an eclectic mix of music from major choral works to Broadway, madrigals, traditional folk, contemporary and, an original production, the Truckee Historic Revue.
Truckee Tahoe Community Chorus is a diverse community of individuals joined in their common love of singing and performing choral music. The 50-member group meets weekly at the Sierra College Tahoe-Truckee campus to rehearse concert music and learn vocal techniques under the direction of Brittney May. The Diablo Valley College Symphonic Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Own Lee, joins TTCC for the spring concert series and a professional string quartet accompanies the winter concerts. TTCC also performs by invitation at holiday gatherings, public and private events, and church celebrations.
TTCC supports youth vocal performance with the Truckee Tahoe Youth Chorus and annual scholarships for college bound students to pursue music education.
Truckee Tahoe Community Chorus artistic, youth education, and community programs would not be possible without the generous support of individuals, organizations and businesses.
TTCC strives to provide diverse, equitable, and inclusive musical experiences for members and the larger community. We are committed to creating a place of belonging for all. We recognize and respect the rich diversity of life experiences in our community and our larger world. We strive to reflect this richness in our musical programming by engaging varied musical genres with respect and understanding. We are committed to creating an accessible, welcoming place for all.
The mission of the Truckee Tahoe Community Chorus is to perform a wide range of quality choral works that will appeal to the diverse community members of the Truckee and North Lake Tahoe region and to provide a performance outlet for our members. TTCC is dedicated to building, nurturing, and promoting a strong choral musical arts program within the community.
