About Give Back Tahoe

null

Since 2014, our community has raised nearly $4 million.

Here's how:

70+ Nonprofits

1,000s of Donors

 $5 - $50,000 Donations

A Legacy of Collective Giving

The Give Back Tahoe Giving Season launched in 2014 to support the nonprofits that make North Tahoe-Truckee such an extraordinary place. It encourages those who live, work, and play here to give back to the place they love by donating to participating nonprofits. Inspired by #GivingTuesday, the International Day of Giving, the Give Back Tahoe Giving Season is elongated to capture the attention of our frequent visitors and part-time homeowners to include Tahoe in their year-end giving.

Why This Donation is Different

Unrestricted Funds are the Most Difficult to Secure

An unrestricted gift means that your favorite nonprofit can finally receive the funds it needs for the “unsexy” but essential things. These might include literally keeping the lights on, paying for professional development, bolstering resources for health insurance, or purchasing equipment to run their programs.

Year-End Giving is VITAL to Nonprofit Stability

One-third of all donations are made at the end of the year. It is the season of generosity after all! Nonprofits use these dollars to power their upcoming year and must focus a lot of their energy trying to capture your attention. Give Back Tahoe helps get their message and good work in front of more donors who love this place.

TAHOE TRUCKEE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation (TTCF) proudly sponsors Give Back Tahoe by raising awareness of the local nonprofits serving this region. Through this platform, marketing/outreach, and educational tools, TTCF connects more community members with the causes they care about.

TTCF brings together trusted partners to align strategies and inspire philanthropy to nurture a resilient community and environment. TTCF was established in 1998 thanks to a $1 million donation from William Hewlett and the generosity of the community to match those dollars and ensure that Tahoe Truckee will be responsibly stewarded into perpetuity.
