One of the most important restoration projects in Lake Tahoe’s history can now begin thanks to the California Tahoe Conservancy’s acquisition of the Motel 6 property and surrounding 31 acres within the Upper Truckee River watershed in South Lake Tahoe.

The next step is to remove the former Motel 6 building, restaurant and parking lot and make way for restoration of these sensitive lands, but there’s currently a funding gap for these efforts.

The Tahoe Fund is raising $200,000 to fill this funding gap so the Conservancy can demolish the former Motel 6 building, restaurant and parking lot. With your help, we can transform this wetland back into a healthy functioning filtration system for Lake Tahoe.

Every dollar makes a difference! Give today.
